Statistical Data and Assessments

Metrics and indicators in PAM: What is the difference?

Not every metric is an indicator, but every indicator is linked to a metric.

Metrics are long-term monitored statistical data — numerical values obtained through measurement or calculation that are not interpreted on their own. Indicators, on the other hand, are measures linked to selected metrics that help assess the fulfilment of objectives in key strategic documents.

Thanks to these objectives, we know which values are desirable for Prague. When updating the Planning Analytical Materials (PAM), we can then evaluate the actual situation.

Further Use of Metrics

Some metrics from the Planning Analytical Materials (PAM) are also used in other documents, such as the Metropolitan Plan (MPP) or the Update of the Spatial Development Principles (AZUR). However, the evaluation for these documents is not part of PAM.

Sustainable Development Analysis of the Area (SDAA)

The main output of the Planning Analytical Materials (PAM) is the Sustainable Development Analysis of the Area (SDAA). It is presented through the story map Sustainable Prague.
